𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐣𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚 (𝐚) - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 Prophet Muhammad (𝐬)

We offer our deep condolences to Imam Mahdi AJTF, our leader Sheikh Zakzaky and all the believers worldwide on the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mujtabah A.S.

Brief History of the martyrdom of Imam Hassan A.S.

Imam Hasan (a) is our second of twelve Imams. He is the first grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s). He is the eldest son of our first Imam Ali (a) and Bibi Fatima (s). He is one of the Holy 5 Ahlil-Kisa'i and the 14 infallible Masoomeen.

During the ten years of his Imamat, Imam Hasan (a) lived in conditions of extreme hardship with no security even in his own house. Breaking every term of the treaty, Muawiya wanted to make Yazeed his successor. But with Imam Hasan (a) alive, he could not.

So, The jealous then planned to murder Imam Hasan (a) through poison,More than five attempts were made to poison Imam Hasan (a). When the effects of the poison would show, the Imam would go to his grandfather's grave, and pray for shifa (healing).

Finally, The jealous then sent a very strong poison to Ja'da Binte Ash'ath, the wicked wife of the Imam, with a promise of 100,000 dirhams, if she gave it to Imam Hasan (a)

It was 28th of Safar, 50 A.H. The Imam was 47 years old Ja'da betrayed the Imam and added the poison to his water.

As soon as Imam drank the water he felt immense pain. He began to vomit blood & pieces of his liver fell into the bowl. He said to her "it is a pity that you have been very unfaithful. But remember, the purpose for which you have done this you would never achieve."

Imam Hasan (a) called Imam Hussain (a) and told him: "I have been given poison.I will die on this day.I leave my family and children in your care.Bury me with my grandfather.If they prevent you from doing so,then don't shed your blood and bury me near my grandmother in Baqi."

He then gave Imam Hussain (a) his heirlooms and the things, which Imam Ali (a) had passed down to him. He said, "Hussain ibn Ali (a) will be the Imam after my death.

Imam Hasan (a), the symbol of peace, passed away leaving his children and family in deep mourning.

Imam Hussain (a) arranged for his brother Imam Hasan's burial and offered the funeral prayers. But when the funeral procession was being taken towards the Holy Prophet's grave, it was stopped. Marwan supported by Aisha would not allow it. Arrows rained down on the coffin.

Nearly 70 arrows were pulled out from the coffin. Imam Hasan (a) then was buried in Baqee.

Alas, the Wahhabis destroyed his grave, when the tombs of the Holy Ahlulbayt (a) in Jannat ul Baqee were razed to ashes and demolished.

Imam Hassan Indeed has suffered severed pain during his Imamate period.
