Brief History of the Birth of Imam Hassan A.S.
Imam Hasan (peace be upon him) was born on the 15th of the holy month of Ramadhan 3 years after Hijra, He was the first son of Imam Ali and Lady Fatima (peace be upon them). When the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure progeny) received the happy news of the birth of his grandson, he came to the house of his beloved daughter, took the newly born child in his arms, recited Adhan and Iqamah in his right and left ears respectively, and in compliance with Allah's command named him Hasan.
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon and his pure progeny) used to say; O Allah! I love Hasan, so love him and love those who love him.
The Generosity of Imam Hassan A.S.
The Imam was quite wealthy and could have lived in luxury if he desired, but he preferred to spend his money to help the poor and needy. Twice in his life, he gave away his entire wealth in charity and began all over again.
He strived to uplift the plight of the Muslims. Once A person came to him and said “poverty and bad luck is torturing me. You are a family of chastity, purity, and infallibility. Get me saved from this cruel enemy?” Imam Hassan (peace be upon him) called his servant and said, “How much money do we have available?” He replied “five thousand Dinars,” He said, “Give all of this money to this man so that it may become the capital of his business and life, and he may relieve himself off and get rid of poverty and lack of resources.
In the blessed month of Ramdan let us not forget the noble act of charity by adhering to the exemplary life of the Imam help our believing brothers and sisters in whatever way we can.
On this blessed occasion, we ask Allah to hasten the reappearance of our Imam and help us to be amongst his true companions, we pray Almighty Allah to grant eternal health to our noble leader Sheikh Zakzaky H. and his wife Malama Zeenah and fulfill his wishes of revolutionizing Nigeria into the Islamic system of government and demolishing tyranny and injustice in the nation.
Peace be upon you Oh' Imam Hassan, the day you're born, the day you're poisoned and the day you'll be resurrected to life.
