The tragedy of the 21st of Ramadan

 

21st Ramadhan 1444, equivalent to 12 April 2023 marks the martyrdom Anniversary of Imam Ali A.S.

Freedom Fighters NG Extends their heartfelt and sorrowful condolences to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, his pure progeny, our humble leader Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H), and the believers worldwide on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali A.S.

The tragedy of the 21st of Ramadan, is the martyrdom Anniversary of the most perfect and meritorious person after the Almighty Allah's last and greatest messenger to mankind prophet Muhammad (S).

Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.) the first Muslim, and the intimate associate of the  holy prophet (S). In the life and holy Islamic mission, the immediate successor to the holy prophet (S) and the first holy Shi'ites in the world was born inside the holy ka'aba in Makka on Friday, the 13th day of Rajab, 600 A.D. Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.) is the only unique personality in the holy ka'aba and was martyred in the Kufah mosque and was buried in the holy city of Najab_e_ Ashraf (Iraq).

Regarding divine right of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.), the holy prophet (S) declared:- 

"Whomever I have authority over; Ali (P.B.U.H.) has also authority over him, O Allah! Befriend whomever befriend him and be hostile to whomever is hostile to him".

This Auspicious occasion also coincides with "the night of honor and power" (Lailatul Qadr 19th, 21st, and 23rd nights of the holy month of Ramadan ) in which the fate of everyone is decided.

We pray Allah (Swt) to grant forgiveness, salvation, deliverance, dignity and prosperity to all the Muslims ummah in the world.

Amiral mumineen Imam Ali (P.B.U.H.) was martyred on 21st of the holy month of Ramadan 40 A.H. by an assassin who mortally wounded. The holy Imam (P.B.U.H.) with a poisoned sword in the mosque at Kufah during the morning prayers on 19th of Ramadan 40 A.H.

On the 19th of Ramadan month of the year 40 A.H. Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) came to the mosque in Kufah for his morning prayers. Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) gave the call for prayer and became engaged in leading the congregation. Abd_al Rahman bn Muljam (L) pretending to pray, stood just behind Imam Ali (P.B.U.H), and when Imam (P.B.U.H) was in a state of prostration, Abdul_Rahman bn Muljam (L) dealt a heavy stroke with his sword, inflicting a deep wound on Imam's (P.B.U.H) head.

The holy prophet (S) had prophesied the assassination of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) and his issues. Regarding Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) he had said:- 

"O Ali! I see before my eyes thy beard dyed with the blood of thy forehead".

They assassinated Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) at this finest time - the honor of standing before Allah (Swt), the Exalted, during a prayer of submission, in the best of days, while fasting during the month of Ramadan, during the most glorious Islamic duties, while preparing to wage jihad, and in the highest and purest Devine places, the mosque of Kufah.

May joy be upon you ya Ali.

Amiral_mumineen Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) bn Abi Talib (P.B.U.H) and blessed after life.

The crime of assassinating Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) remains one of the crueleat and brutal inhuman Atrocity acts, because it was not committed against one man, but against humanity in general, because the life of Amiral_ momineen (P.B.U.H) touches the whole sphere of humanity by assassinating Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) is as gravious as killing the whole prophets, they actually aimed at assassinating the message, the history, the culture, and the nation of muslims embodied in the person of Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) bn Abi Talib (P.B.U.H).

In doing so, the Islamic nation lost its guide of progress, and at the most wondrous opportunity in its life after. The holy prophet (S).

Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) suffered from his wound for three days and he passed away on 21st of the holy month of Ramadan in the age of 63 years.

During these three days Imam Ali (P.B.U.H) entrusted his son, Imam Hassan Al_mujtaba (P.B.U.H) with the Imamat of guiding the nation ideologically and socially. During those three days as during all his life, he never ceased remembering Allah (Swt), praising him, and accepting him his ordinance.

Likewise, he continued giving pieces of advice and directions leading to the good, pointing to the right, defining the way to guidance, explaining the course for deliverance, calling for the observance of Allah (Swt) ordinances, and warning against following one's ill desires and set backs from not carrying out the Devine message.

Peace be upon you ya Ali, the day you're born, the day you you're martyred, and the day you would be resurrected to everlasting life.
